Traveling
is part of the fishing adventure and allure. Visions of
tiny cabins along a mountain creek, vast sandy flats in crystal
clear water, snow covered banks along a roaring river, or just
that perfect little lake across town excite the imagination and
entice us to travel and try new fishing destinations.
Unfortunately, it can also be a nightmare, without the proper
bags to take your rods and reels in. The Fly Fisherman is
proud to offer some of the finest luggage available; better yet,
it is all designed for the traveling angler. Rods, reels,
flies, lures, and clothing can fit into one safe, secure bag.
Put the fun back into your traveling adventures, by taking the
worry of damaged equipment out of the equation. Check out
our line of travel bags below. No matter if you are
traveling across the county for a day, or across the world for a
month, we have a travel bag to suite your needs.

WILLIAM-JOSEPH BFD BAG
The BFD is one "Bad Ass" piece
of equipment. We’re talking the kind of bag Brando would've
chosen if he fly fished or the kind of bag Peter Fonda
would've towed behind his bike in Easy Rider. Yeah, that’s
right, a "Hell on wheels" kind of bag. As a matter of fact
we will put this bag in the ring any day with those other
"Sissy, French speaking" travel bags. It’s 11,000 cubic
inches of testosterone, all wrapped in enough webbing and
zippers to make even veteran airline baggage handlers blush.
Separate rod tube compartment
Handy end and side pockets
Hefty rolling hardware
Overbuilt zippers, webbing, and handles
Gnarly skid plates on the bottom |

WILLIAM-JOSEPH WADER BAG
Our Wader Bag is anything but an
oversized gym bag. One thing we hated most about current
wader bags was the terrible access they provided. You really
needed three hands, two to hold the bag open and the third
to pull your gear out! Our Wader Bag now offers what we like
to call 3-D access. The panels open up so wide you can
actually load your gear at just about any angle. Which is
particularly nice when you are working from the tailgate of
your truck!
Fully waterproof base
Waterproof zippers throughout
Changing tarp
3-D Access entry system
Rod case carrying straps

15- and 10-Day Lodge Trip Bag
We double-stitch every seam. We
use the finest, toughest zippers and components. There's
nothing skimpy in this bag. Its comfortable, heavy-duty
shoulder strap, bottom and backpack straps are covered with
a full 1/2-inch of padding.
Both the 10- and 15-Day Bags have hidden backpack straps
tucked neatly into the bag's bottom. Pop them out and snap
them together to walk from Airport Gate A1 to Z30; to your
lodge cabin or to meet the float plane.
Pockets, pockets, pockets . . . outside and inside to stow
toiletries, underwear, socks, thermals, shirts, trousers
whatever!
Open either an Abel 10- or 15-Day Lodge Trip Bag and what's
inside? A secondary bag! To accommodate coming home with
more than you started with, we've included another duffel
bag that can be used for laundry if nothing else. The extra
duffel is a terrific way to carry rain gear, a sweater,
snacks, mask, fin and snorkel aboard the plane or boat. The
"piggyback" extra bag virtually doubles your carrying
capacity. The second duffel is of a lighter weight Nylon®
and rolls into one of the two inside pouches.
The back panel is constructed of a smooth Nylon® that will
not snag, rub or scuff your jacket and slacks when carrying
the bag next to your body. And one of the giant side pockets
is ventilated with mesh, so it's no problem to bring damp
things home.
